My name is Alexis Thomas. Growing up I always knew I wanted to go into education. I would spend summers in my parent’s classrooms helping them prepare for the new year. My dad just retired from Lima City Schools after teaching 33 years and my mom is the K-4 Title teacher at St. Charles School. I have one sister, she graduated from BGSU in 2024 with a degree in Advertising and Communications.

I graduated from Elida High School in 2014. I went to The Ohio State University for Early Childhood Education and graduated in 2018. My husband Zak and I got married in June of 2021. I love to travel. My favorite trip was an Alaskan Cruise! I love to go shopping and build Legos! 

I previously taught 2nd grade at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic School in Van Wert for the past 7 years. Teaching at St. Mary’s taught me so much and I can’t wait to bring it to St. Gerard! I am so excited and grateful to be joining the St. Gerard family!!
