St. Gerard Catholic School: Faculty & Staff

I was born in Lima, Ohio to Frank and Pat Duval. My dad is still living and still does some tax work. He is a native of New Hampshire and moved here to marry my mom, a St. Rose graduate. I grew up on Main Street here in Lima, and am a former Gerrie!! I went on to graduate from Lima Central Catholic.
I attended college after my youngest daughter entered first grade and graduated from OSU Lima four years later. I loved going to college and pursuing my childhood dream of becoming a teacher.
I am now in my sixteenth year of teaching here at St. Gerard. My favorite subjects to teach are math and reading. I am very fortunate to be able to teach these subjects to fourth, fifth and sixth graders.
For enjoyment I like to spend time with my three grown children and my two grandchildren, one boy and one girl. I also like reading for leisure, golfing, and shopping. Also, I continue to take classes and workshops to stay updated in current teaching pedagogy and subject news.
I am very happy to be a part of St. Gerard School.
