Dear Parents & Parishioners,

I want to thank you for all of the support that you have given to Jeff and me over the last two years. I also want to thank you for welcoming us into your parish and making us feel at home. I have truly enjoyed my 14 years here as a parishioner and as St. Gerard School principal. The dedication of so many individuals and the sense of family here is just incredible! This is definitely a parish and school that care about people. Thank you for letting Jeff and me be a part of it.

All of the effort that has gone into the strategic planning process for the parish and school has created an incredible sense of excitement. There are many good things on the horizon for St. Gerard School and Parish! It is entering a new era – a great time where parents and parishioners have set goals and are making action plans to meet those goals. Thank you to everyone who is making this happen.

As you might have guessed by this point of my letter, I will not be an active part of this future in Lima. I have accepted a job with the Florida Catholic Conference. They were looking for an Accreditation Program Manager and I really enjoy working with the accreditation process of the Ohio Catholic Conference. Between that and the fact that we have family that live in Florida (some full time and some part-time) led me to apply. Jeff and I have prayed about all of this and believe that God is calling us to move on and calling someone else to step up and lead St. Gerard School to the next level.

I will be moving to Florida this summer and Jeff will join me once we sell our house here. When I started at St. Gerard, Jeff and I worked the “pastor’s cake” area of the festival so that people could meet us. I will be working in my Funnel Cake booth this year, if anyone wants to stop by to say good-bye. Thank you for all that you do for St. Gerard Parish and School! May God continue to bless you and yours!

All Glory to God,
Mrs. Mary Camp
Principal
